Handmade on the island of Corfu, Greece, using locally produced olive oil and traditional recipes that have been in the family for 5 generations.

Each bar weights 1 oz ( 30 gr).

Our Green Olive Soap is made using only the basic raw materials of traditional soap manufacture: NO additives, NO fragrances, just 100% natural ingredients: olive husk oil, caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), natural sea salt, and water.Ā 

Green Olive Soap is made from olive pomace oil, which contains olive chlorophyll. Therefore, the soap is green when it is fresh, hence its name. However, the color fades on the outer layer as the soap dries and matures.

This soap is renowned for its thorough cleansing properties while remaining gentle on the skin. It serves as an excellent cleanser for all ages, suitable for use from head to toe.

How is Olive Soap Made in a Traditional Way?

The oil is heated in a large metal pot together with caustic soda, a process known asĀ saponification. The mixture is then washed with a sea salt solution.

After about ten days of cooking, the soap is hand-scooped into trays, where it cools and hardens. It is then marked, stamped, and cut, all by hand. Finally, the soap is placed on wooden racks where it stays for 4 months to dry and mature.

Long-Lasting What makes a bar last longer is its compactness; meaning the amount of water stuck in-between its molecules of soap. If matured correctly, an olive oil bar should contain no more than 3% water.

    I recently had some basic questions about linen and it's longevity and Tanya was so helpful, explaining it to me and spending all the time I needed to make some decisions! I ordered a thick, white linen bath towel and it is truly sumptuous. This fabric is beautiful, quick drying and even more absorbent than cotton. It has a beautiful hand, drapes so nicely and I will treasure it, adding several more when I can. I also purchased a thick linen bread bag and I love it, too! No more searching for a basket to serve bread from-this lovely bag will be just the thing, and is more easily stored, as well.

    I have been a lover of linen my whole adult life and have owned many pieces from clothing to towels, to sheets and blankets. That said, I recently purchased this hand towel and will say without hesitation it's one of the very best. Since it arrived I haven't used any other towel in the kitchen and even once used it as a hair towel after showering. It's simply fabulous and as a result have since placed two additional orders. I intend to give some as gifts and will do so proudly. Function and longevity...quality and price....what's not to like.     I have had a pair of these kitchen hand towels, and they are incredible. In fact, I believe so much in them, I am giving these beautiful linen towels as Christmas gifts to 10 people in the office. We have all had those flimsy towels in the kitchen that can barely get through a dish to two, and that's it. These towels are amazing in how they keep on drying. And a nice bonus, they all complement your kitchen. I guarantee once you use them, you'll never want anything else in your kitchen or house. Oh, did I mention tey claim that they do get softer as you wash them? That's true too. Pamper yourself or surprise someone as stocking stuffers, and you'll be thanked many, many times over.

    These thick linen towels are beautiful & soft to the touch. Everything you could want in a hardworking kitchen towel. Perfect for drying pots and pans. When folded a few times, in lieu of pot holders, they are just the right size and thickness for handling hot cookie trays right out of the oven. When I reached out for assistance prior to purchasing these towels Tanya was extremely helpful, providing detailed information, responding quickly & was over all very accommodating. Kudos to this wonderful family owned business for the excellent customer service I received. When my package arrived the presentation was beautiful. I would not hesitate to send a gift directly to a recipient.Ā
